1. Who we are
SafePeptides.org ("we", "us") is an independent educational resource providing research-grounded information about peptides. We are not a pharmacy, a healthcare provider, or a seller of any product. Nothing on this site is medical advice.
2. What we collect
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Only if you submit a form | To send the newsletter you requested, or reply to your inquiry |
| Name, credentials | Only on contact / article submission forms | To respond to you and evaluate submissions |
| Message content | Only if you write to us | To answer your question |
| Anonymous usage stats | Only after you accept analytics | Aggregate page views, so we know which topics to expand |
| Server logs | Automatically, by our host | Security and abuse prevention |
We do not use advertising trackers, cross-site pixels, device fingerprinting, or session recording.
3. Health-related information
We recognize that interest in specific peptides could imply something about a person's health. We treat that seriously:
- We do not build health profiles of visitors.
- We do not link browsing behavior to your email address or any identity.
- We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise disclose any health-inferring information to third parties, for any purpose.
- Analytics, if you consent, are aggregate and anonymous — we can see that a page was viewed, not who viewed it.
4. Cookies and consent
By default we set only what is strictly necessary for the site to function, plus a small local record of your cookie choice so we don't ask again. Analytics cookies are set only after you click "Accept analytics." You can change your mind by clearing your browser storage for this site.
5. Legal basis (EEA / UK visitors)
- Consent — newsletter emails and analytics cookies.
- Legitimate interest — keeping the site secure and functioning.
You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request a copy of it
- Request correction or deletion
- Opt out of marketing emails (one click, in every email)
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — though we do not engage in either
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
These rights are recognized under the GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, Washington's My Health My Data Act, and comparable state laws. To exercise any of them, contact us using the details in Section 10. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
7. Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us operate the site, and only to the extent needed:
- Netlify — website hosting and form processing
- Google Fonts — typeface delivery
- Our email provider — newsletter delivery, if you subscribe
We do not sell or share personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing purposes.
8. Retention
Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept up to 24 months. Anonymous analytics are retained in aggregate. You can request deletion sooner at any time.
9. Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Contact
For any privacy request or question, use the contact form and select "Other" as the subject. Include the word PRIVACY in your message so we can route it correctly.
11. Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and, where required, notify subscribers by email.
